In a previous article we talked about different aspects of asylum and refuge (in what it consists, the reasons, the procedure, etc.). In practice, the most important of all these points is how to prove the reasons for obtaining asylum in Spain.<\/p>\n

Thus, it is not enough to claim that persecution is suffered for political, religious, social or sexual preference reasons. You have to prove, fundamentally, that you have a well-founded fear that this persecution is a real danger to your personal integrity.<\/p>\n

Means to prove the reasons for obtaining asylum in Spain<\/h3>\n

As we have insisted, it is essential to present some type of evidence. Although these do not have to meet the requirements that are required to be valid in a civil or criminal trial, they must generate some kind of credibility. Thus, if you are persecuted for belonging to a political party, you should accompany a certificate that you are indeed a member of that party.<\/p>\n

Of course, this is not enough. To prove the reasons for obtaining asylum in Spain you must also accompany evidence that you have been persecuted for the alleged reason: if you have been attacked, you should file a complaint with the police even if they do not process it (precisely the fact that they do not investigate the case it is an indication that you are in danger).<\/p>\n

Also, threatening messages on social networks or on your mobile phone, photos of you if you have been beaten, of your home if it has suffered damages, newspaper clippings in which the case or your name is mentioned, et cetera. By the way, mentions of violence in general, without you appearing as a victim, are not appropriate.<\/p>\n

Test the reasons for obtaining asylum in Spain: Consistency and diligence<\/h3>\n

In addition, consistency is taken into account in your statement, as well as the particularities of your case. Finally, it matters how quickly you submit your asylum application. There are people who have done it, to say the least, two years after being in Spain in an irregular situation. In such cases, the Supreme Court has indicated that the asylum application is not credible.<\/p>\n

Of course, each case is unique, and requires a detailed analysis. But these recommendations are valid in general for all cases of asylum and refuge request<\/p>\n
