It can be in cash, both in euros and the equivalent in another convertible currency, or credit cards. In that case, you must show that you have a credit balance for these amounts, through the corresponding bank statement. By the way, the extract taken from the Internet is not, in principle, accepted.
Exceptionally, the immigration official may ask you to present a medical certificate that you do not have a contagious disease. However, this requirement will have been disseminated in advance. It is, as we said, something exceptional, when there are epidemics in the country of origin.
On the other hand, you can deny your entry to Spain if you have already spent your period of stay (90 days) in the last 180 days prior to the new entry. It is also normal for you to deny your entry, even if you have spent more than 180 days, if you were more than 90 days and you did not get the corresponding extension of stay. In fact, during those more days you would have been in an irregular situation, which gives the immigration official a good indication that you again think about staying longer.
An important point to note is that the verification of the requirements is something that immigration officials do not do with all travelers; It is, as it were, random. That is why you have heard a relative, friend or acquaintance, say that he has entered Spain as a tourist and that “they did not ask for any document other than the passport.”
This can be totally true, but it does not mean that the same thing will happen to you. If you decide to go without meeting any of these requirements, you run the risk that, ultimately, they ask for it and, unable to prove it, they deny you the entry and your plans are ruined, because you will not be able to leave the airport and you will see Returning to your country on the next available flight.

Buenas tardes y gracias por toda la información que aquí comparte.Tengo una duda, si tanto mi esposa como yo tenemos pasaporte comunitario (italiana-Portugués) pero nuestro hijo de 2 años aún no, solo tiene pasaporte venezolano, que requisitos debo llevar para entrar a españa legal y sin ningún tipo de problemas en migración, gracias.
Hola, Saúl. Siendo el niño tan pequeño, no tendrían ningún problema al entrar en España. De todas formas, ¿no podrías iniciar ante el consulado portugués o italiano en Venezuela los trámites para que tu hijo obtenga la nacionalidad portuguesa o italiana? Si él no obtiene alguna nacionalidad comunitaria tendrías luego que tramitarle un permiso de residencia de familiar comunitario.
